There are 40+ groups and committees within EDRS organising a wide range of activities for all ages and many interests. Some of these groups are from outside organisations using our premises and facilities or sponsored by the synagogue.

Threads of Time

Our shul’s new embroidered lectern cloth and tapestry cushions for the Rabbis’ chairs made specially for the Synagogue’s 80th anniversary have been much admired, and a second cloth for the reading lectern and back cushion for one of the Rabbis’ chairs are almost complete.
Our next project is a second back cushion and cover for the Scroll when in use in a Service.
Please come and join our group working together in designing and creating these items, with plans for more synagogue heirlooms to be used regularly. We meet Sunday mornings at members’ houses.

20s to 30s

Young adults form a vital part of Jewish communities; however it can sometimes feel hard to find what you are looking for within synagogue life. At EDRS, we have created a friendly and vibrant group to provide a space to meet others, socialize, eat, drink, learn and/or unwind after the busy lives we all lead. EDRS 20s&30s meet every month for either a Friday Night dinner or a social night out and whether you are single or part of a couple, everyone is always welcome.
